Making this post is an exhausted, fulfiled and grateful me. Mitup5 is a project that dropped in my head few days ago to meet with newbies and teach them the basics of steemit and in less than three days, the meetup was successful.
The initial plan was 5 people but as you can see we had more up to 10 people in attendance despite my efforts to keep attendance at five, i had to extend my hands though it was more than my budget and all.

The meetup started at about 2pm,no African time with two people, we started discussing about the misconceptions about steemit and how people had the wrong idea about the community, we went through the basics a new bie should be aware of walletblog, feed, tags, upvotes, bandwidth, curation rewards, content creation, steem power, spamming, plagiarism, etc.
Shortly after @misterakpan who is a curie curator joined us, he spoke about making quality content and gave us guidelines as to what constitutes quality contents to @curie and explained why @curie spends efforts to reward good authors @misterakpan and I
item 7 wasn't left out as there was a light refreshments and we all had fun attending to our stomachs. Learning was so much fun and i felt happy giving out the little i knew
For me, this was a challenging move, putting to play what was in my head was quite difficult, i wondered what i was going to say, how i was going to explain things to their understanding, how i was going to answer numerous questions and if the meet up was really going to help
It was a huge success and I'm proud of this project. I believe that in a few weeks, today's participants would be organizing their own Mitup5, reaching out and helping newbies succeed, watch the space.
@annieben @ifioklee @samstickks thanks for your support towards this project and for your effort towards setting up the hub. We are all one big family and i love you guys.
