Oh boy, some fun on Hive. It's very interesting to see how hivewatchers and all his accounts are suddenly very quiet since @themarkymark got his eye on them
C'mon, do something

I'm reading this now after 2-3 years, after those hive watchers banned some posts of mine and I just stopped posting because of them
Same story. I stopped posting blogs and photos on Hive because of them. From what I read now in one of their comments - they will stop downvoting posts. If only they would return what the hive community has invested in them.
Most automated downvoting can go too far. In principle I cannot completely oppose it though. Some users can spam the blockchain with selfvoting.
Blurt demands a price to post which makes selfvoting for profit mostly infeasible.
HW is quite arrogant and that is my biggest criticism of them. There are more civilized and cultured ways of doing what they do. I have noticed that lately they are trying to change the rhetoric a bit, but they are not succeeding. I think that their attitude and way of dealing is primarily a reflection of their personal lack of culture. In addition, they have gained too much power, the resources allocated by Hive to them are significant, and this gives them too much power. Unfortunately, they use their power against small users, although it is clear to everyone that this is only the tip of the iceberg, the real problems lie elsewhere.
Blurt, on the other hand, has the problem of a very small volume of users who do not have too much motivation to be active as authors.
To be honest, it's the same on Hive, I'm the best example - from being an active blogger and someone who has posted several hundred high-quality author photos on Hive, I've reduced myself to automatic posts of my physical activities.
We joined for the blogging rewards. I have to agree. Blurt is marginally a better design. But Hive has far more RPC public nodes and many front ends. Neither really has an incentive mechanism for RPC nodes or front ends. It seems like it could be a fatal problem when under stress
