Look for the "hidden" calories. AKA: empty calories. Quick way: no drinks with sugar or carbs in them (all non-diet sodas, juice, alcohol :( ). One of the leading causes of weight gain is sugar/carbs in drinks. Exercise is important, especially for your cardiovascular health. However, exercise makes up about 20 percent of your potential to lose weight. Limiting calories has a much higher potential for actual weight loss.
