Someone sent this image right before the August 1st 2017 Bitcoin Hard Fork. Prior to having this meme, I did actually use a real photo of myself everywhere. Which is kind of strange since my extremely early adoption of bitcoin in November 2009 and in general using actual photos of oneself is or seems to be quite rare. I am a true believer, developer and many other things in bitcoin and Blockchain technologies. Since everything I do is for the growth of Crypto, especially bitcoin, I thought this was the perfect meme for me to use on sites as a representation of me. It also is the perfect representation of bitcoin in my opinion as well, especially from how bitcoin started.
So many people, or really everyone except Hal Finney, did not believe bitcoin would last the first month after the mainnet release. Even Satoshi had overwhelming doubts about Bitcoin’s success, during development and even after January 3rd 2009. I followed him on the few Cryptography forums that he was on prior to Bitcoin’s release, where so many people would make such bad comments about his idea for bitcoin. (Funny side note, many of those people who where his greatest critics are now some of the biggest public names in bitcoin and crypto.) I never once made a negative comment about bitcoin on those forums but for some reason I let those negative comments of others bleed into my thinking. Even though I thought his idea was unbelievably great, I still waited close to 11 months after the mainnet release to get involved. Looking back on it now, I really cannot answer why I waited except I allowed others to persuade my decision. Which was quite stupid of me, since back then it did not cost anything noticeable to Mine blocks. So there wasn’t anything to lose.
Point being, to me the statement this meme makes shows how wrong people can be about the future of anything. No one can ever know if something will be a success or a failure. Many people like to “Think” they can see into the future because they guessed right once or twice. The biggest point of what I’m saying is people need to again learn to trust themselves. If you have an idea for something new, develop/create it and let time tell you if it was the right thing to do. Do not ever be afraid of failure. Lastly, Never let others influence your judgement. Satoshi and bitcoin are perfect examples of that because if he would have listened to himself or others, we may all still be waiting for Crypto to sweep us all off our feet. Like it has to most everyone who has truly gotten involved.
So, I assume some may be wondering why I’m not using it here on steemit?? Well, I decided to use my logo for my upcoming crypto project release. I actually was using it here like I would normally but just recently decided to change it.
