RE: Memoir Monday #52 FINAL PROMPT (3/3-3/9) - Describe a Typical Summer Day When You Were Ten Years Old

in #memoirmondayyesterday

Your day sounds nearly exactly like mine!

I hear the Price Is Right theme song on the TV and smell Campbell’s chicken noodle soup warming on the stove.

There would be a plate of salted cucumber slices too, every child ate cucumber slices.

I cannot believe the year is over already!

You were lucky too! : ) We never had the salted cucumber...sometimes we had saltine crackers with margarine or peanut butter. This year has gone by in such a quick blink! I'm almost overwhelmed as I think back to all of the change we've been through in the last twelve months. It's a true miracle that I got 52 of these done. I hope you're having a good day!

You did such a great job with this initiative! Are you relieved it's over? It had to have been quite a lot of work. Valuable work, too.

I appreciate you saying that. I hope Memoir Monday was valuable to the community. I do feel a sense of relief, and of accomplishment--but feel like it's important to make room for what's next. As I was working on Memoir Monday I was also compiling my posts in Storyworth so I could have a hardcopy printed out for future generations of the family.

That's a great idea.

I don't know...it'll probably cost $500 with all of the color photos. : )
