Fair dues to you starting working at 13 as well and handing up half - a great life lesson in the value of money and a hard days work at a young age. I worked on our farm from when I was able to walk pretty much and got my first job outside the family when I was 15 at a local 5 star hotel - I worked their through secondary school and University for some pocket money.. Good memories and certainly helped me appreciate the cost of things..
I was lucky to get a grounding in the value of money early on. It has stuck with me also...The value of a reward for effort ethos and in spending it wisely. Saving it wisely and investing it wisely also. Maybe you know exactly what I mean as you've done the same.
Ya definitely man, we are certainly cut out of the same cloth in that regard. It's a good grounding to have gotten and it stays with you for life.
