RE: She was my first

in #memories3 years ago

My first was a Ford 16M traded with a workmate as I completed the roof of his house after the builders absconded. Had the car for a few months until I traded it in for a Chevrolet 3.8. I also had many cars since and don't have any affiliation for the cars, as my love was for my motorbike.

Seems like you were rolling around in some degree of style! It certainly puts my humble little rusted out Beetle to shame. Oh well, I got what I could afford and loved it whilst I had it. Also, I get it about the motorbike. I've had some pretty amazing ones and loved them all.

Funny enough I never formed a relationship with any of my cars. I suppose that it stems from all of the company vehicles that I had. When you leave a company, the vehicle is retuned, so it's never your own.
That Chevvy was okay until it got repossessed by the bank due to my ex mother in law not doing the payments that I sent through every month from my country job. She rather kept the money to entertain her friends :)

Yes, once on a nice free run one really gets hooked on a bike.

Repossessed huh? Not cool.

One of my friends owns a debt
collection business and some of the stories he tells me are incredible. He repossesses just about anything. Property to combine harvesters. Some amazing stories. Not a fun job.

Oh yeah, but in my case it was not great to lose something that I paid for diligently every month.

Maybe you can do a post about some of the stories, as I bet that it will be interesting coming from the side of a guy who did the actual removals?

I've been thinking about sharing some actually. Some are funny and others not. Sometimes his job isn't very nice.

Oh yes, he would for sure have a mix of tales that could keep many spellbound.
Especially those that also lost their things.
