RE: She was my first

there were no mobile phone cameras in 1986

Some 36 years have passed and you describe that experience in a very detailed way as if you had lived it yesterday. The brain really is amazing at storing the best moments.

So you were thirteen by that time? It's crazy to think you bought your first car by that time. I'm 18 and I'm nowhere near considering buying a car haha. What country do you live in or used to live in by that time? It's quite peculiar that you could consider buying a car with a little over $700 (I guess you had to spend over $1000 on her in the end). I say it's "peculiar" because currently I think that's impossible in first world countries, but in countries like Venezuela it's quite common to see obsolete (and not so obsolete) cars in that price range.

That's a pretty good history tho.

I was 13 when I started working and 16 when I bought this car, as per the text in the post above.

I was lucky to come across the car for that price although it was in very poor condition. I didn't mind though, she was my freedom machine and I have some very nice memories of being in her.
