One of the craziest things I have ever done is creating a huge memory system with 1000 People and 1000 Objects. I am using memory techniques since 2003 and I have become quite a master in that art. In this post I am sharing one of my old videos where I am explaining how to create a large memory system with my personal approach.
The System
It took me seven years to develop my Pyramid Memory System. I had to collect 1000 people in 100 groups of ten. Each group shared a mutual topic. Then I collected 1000 objects grouped in ten large info blocks of 100 items each. With that system I can easily memorize large chunks of digits and hang thousands of new information to my images.
I have shared this highly complex technique in more detail than anybody could ever wish for. I even created thousands of training cards all by hand an edited them with Photoshop to make them look stunning! This post is merely a sneak-peak with all relevant links and the video tutorial itself. One day I will put the entire system on the blockchain but not today. Below you see a few examples and links to my tutorial and to my image gallery.

Are you interested in more memory techniques? I was a memory coach for many years and can tell quite a bit about it. Drop your questions in the comments and let me know if you have previous experience with memory techniques yourself.
awesome job, you've put alot effort in it!
I have to check it our I think the technique is advanced
Dude this is so interesting, how long do you reckon a novice would take to pick up some of these tricks.
Start with a 2-digit Major System with 100 images. I have many FANTASTIC articles for free about that system on https://thinkkniht.com/.
Its like a pic collage. I am interested in this, maybe start with 100 pics first and choose 5 categories with 20 pics. Is that possible?
Thank you very much MY APP TUTOR @flauwy!😊
Yeah, actually that would be the best approach and is what my system is all about in the first place. Start with a small system and add more modules step-by-step.
Awesome. I will definitely try that. Thanks @flauwy!😊❤
Damm that's memory technique on Level 1000 wow but i need to start from bottom slowly and steadily :D you are amazing with sharp brain ;)
There are people that have no interest in sports, so is the pyramid memory system only for sports?
It is more for learning than for the sport actually. I have tested it in competitions and it requires quite a bit of training to get it fast. However, to just learn it decently to use for further learning it was great fun.
That's sounds good, by the way is it available for all?
Yes, it is publicly available in its entirety.
Honestly I haven't the slightest fucking clue what you're saying here, but my wife might be interested 'cause she's always worried about improving her memory and brain function. I'm gonna send her this way and maybe she can explain to me what's going on.
A huge element to having a healthily functioning brain is to take care of yourself physically and have an optimistic mindset, both of which are conducive to the process of neurogenesis. There's a reason that a quarter of Alzheimer's cases and many dementia-related conditions are vascular in origin. Keep that blood flow pumping.
Thanks for reminding me. I'm a bit older, but I do try to get 3-4 days of aerobic exercise a week. I'm also trying to include weight bearing exercises, but my body hasn't agreed with this very well, and injuries have been common, despite (or perhaps because of) a history of weight lifting. It's good to know that keeping the blood flow pumping is a good thing.
Lol, I think whatever I say in a few words would change that because this is actually one of the more sophisticated memory systems out there. You should start small with the Major System and the Memory Palace. I have many great articles about that on https://thinkkniht.com/.
Ok, fresh off 7 hours of sleep I'll be heading over there to check that out now. Improved memory certainly wouldn't hurt as I get older - 51 years on this blue and green ball today.
I went as far as using peg system, but could never grasp the larger systems, loci etc. It seems like the effort to memorize the system is more than just memorizing the things you want to remember. I am sure I am wrong on this, but that was my impression every time I tried ; )
This is a very common misinterpretation of memory techniques as super memorizers from all around the world have proven scientifically. However, you must indeed put effort into it forst before you can really make a difference.
I'd be happy to give it another try, is there any course you'd recommend where it is presented in clear, step-by-step fashion?
I have tried Udemy, but wasn't impressed with those courses.
Maybe you'll run one on Steemit?
I am developing a Major System course. Give me one more month and a top notch course will hit Udemy.
I'm looking forward to it!
Two personal requests from me:
Hello @flauwy
I am definitely checking this out. I particularly have poor retention ability when I read things. Praying that I will your technique useful.

@eurogee of @euronation
Well, my technique is pretty advanced and nothing really for beginners. But check it out and get inspired for the basics which are all mentioned in the main tutorial.
Looks very nice and very useful too.
You can start with small systems yourself. It is fun, creative and will boost your memory a lot.
I'm down to 1:37 my pb in training for a deck . What's your best time, if you don't mind me asking.
I think I did 78 seconds in 2004 but if I would do it today I would need more than 5 minutes for sure. I don't do memory training anymore.
My best in 79 seconds is 43 good cards. So you just provide me with an extra stimulating challenge here thank you.
Wow!! It's really amazing. It is not known to me. You done a great job. Keep it up.
Thanks @fiauwy for sharing the tutorial video.
Your welcome. The world of memory techniques is a fascinating topic!
That was a great system, thank you for dedication. Good things do take time.
It could have been done much faster but I took my time. :)
I really liked to do this! I used to be able to use the ´Memory palace`it was really fun to do for some reason haha. My best time was 15minutes to remember the whole sequence of a deck of cards.
The trick was to create a ´palace`in your mind. In my case it was my own home. And each room was a place where you would put objects that do something. So in that way you create a story.
If you had made the story, then just simply start at the beginning of your home and imagine walking through your palace and each room you enter you remember bits of the story.
In the case with my cards. Each object represented a certain card. so I could name the whole deck within minutes. The fun part was. People were super impressed by it, while it was just a memory trick wich you can learn within hours of active practice.
Fun post I´d like to see more!
Yeah, I went to many competitions and I have seen people doing it under 30 seconds. My own record was 78s many years ago.
You are a hard worker,it took you seven years to develop your pyramid memory system.
I didn't work all my time on it but whenever I found time and motivation. It was really a very long process!
Wow and now its a success
I have some experience with memory techniques. In high school my friend would always remind me to eat blueberries, because my memory was so terrible. lmao
Hehe, blueberries are indeed good for a healthy memory.
I have liked object group its all about happinesss
The cool thing about my system is that you can pick any object group you like. :)
Object group is all about health food.thanks alot
@flauwy Your pyramid memory system is awesome. Through which we easily categories the people and the things.
Thanks for sharing
It's very complex but if you read into it you will see it has a lot of potential because its simple cool and fun compared to other systems.
Yes you are right it has very potential and it's implementation will be very fruitful for us.
must admit this memory technique is quite advance, the basic one I know is mnemonic and repetition, you must have taken your time in doing this @flauwy
I studied memory techniques for 15 years. :)
wow! Now that's what I call determination and persistence, you don't mean it, no wonder you good @flauwy in memorising , thumbs up man.
that's how to top the exam with @flawuy technique ;)
Yes, it could be used for any kind of learning.
That collage wow man you are more than incredibly incredible
Yeah that collage is a bit sick, isn't it? :D
Amazing post. Though I'm just a new steemian. Wouldn't mind if your next post talks about enlightenment to the newbies of the system so as to make the system captivating for us. #Anticipating
Haha, I am mostly talking about things like this. :)
wow pos yg bagus
great post.
Awesome post dear keep it up Thanks for sharing
I have some involvement with memory methods. In secondary school my companion would dependably remind me to eat blueberries, in light of the fact that my memory was so frightful.
Saya kagum dengan pelatihan memori anda selama bertahun tahun,
I'm interesting in this. Is a new for me. Great! Thanks bro
very nice character
Wow.. It's advanced
Good presentation
Looks like a very interesting technique, I am taking a look at it.. I may implement this in upcoming projects....
A very interesting post. Thank you @flauwy,
warm greetings from me, @fooart.
amazing ... really really amazing
Nice techniques i need to learn from you and make my brain sharper than knife :D
wow look amazing
ineed lot time to do same you :D
ilike it
Nice post
https://thinkkniht.com/ was extraordinary.I liked it very much..That was a great system. Thank you for sharing such a great post @flauwy
By the way, IAM board don't seem so sure about who will be the arbiter for IAM Canada 2018. This seems to be the reason why this event isn't being advertised yet. Although I closely follow the developments, I won't be organizing that one.
I already forgot about the tittle of this post lol that is for sure not a thing for me eheheheh but it is super interesting to know about this... i have never heard about it before.
1013 is a great # for you, Mr Steem Flow-y!!!
I am curious about which memory system works best with the type of information that you want to remember, or can you breakdown or the information that you want to remember so that it fits with whichever memory system that you find easiest to use?
