What are your thoughts on the differences between Self Love, Self Care and Self Indulgence?
Self love in my opinion is about your energy and the inward vibration of love based on your inner dialogue.
Self care I believe comes in at two dominant levels. One is founded in the values system or programming that your self love runs on.
This is the part of you that subconsciously chooses a better option because it's better for you. It takes work to get to that level with all the temptations we're surrounded by, but it can be done.
The other level is the more 'active' level, the 'I'm working on making better self caring choices' level. Knowing that you need to take care of yourself and actively choosing to do it. It's not quite muscle memory reflex territory, but it can get there.
This is the self care that forces you out of bed to go for a jog on a cold morning (rather than it being just what you do).
Self indulgence isn't always a bad thing. You could look at the 90 minute massage session instead of 30 minutes as a little self indulgence. Maybe taking a float session, or some chill time with a book or audio.
Self indulgence can be uncontrolled too. Going for the TimTams and scoffing the whole pack would fit right in here. But that's more of an indication that you're not quite where you probably want to be in your journey.
I see self love feeding self care which shows up in the choices that are made which can appear in self indulgence.
