Letters to Daniel
Dear Daniel Craig,
I finished up a chapter I started yesterday on a new book. I'm thinking of starting a new script. Anything to keep me busy. Anything to give my day a sense of structure. Right now I'm up with the chickens. It's not even 7am.
I managed to get 5 hours of sleep. I'm sure when I take my medicine and eat breakfast it will knock me back out.
Writing chapter one was fun. I broke it down to writing two pages at a time, mostly because that's how long I could stay focused for. Take a break. Write two more pages. Eat write two more pages. I managed 4 pages yesterday and editing a script for AOF Megafest.
There's always things to do. Today I need to send out the official acceptance letter and a reminder to people of my festival to get their films into me. And to RSVP to Theresa Weston.
But I wanted desperately to get some creative writing done before I did anything else. I'm trying to structure my day and make myself feel worth something.
So I determined to be on set in Los Angeles or Las Vegas by March of next year. I determined I was going to shoot the Recovery Unplugged Pilot because I can do it for a little money, and few crew members (3), a host (me), and a guest (a celebrity). We're also going to showcase a therapist or pyschiatrist at the outset of each show via satellite or zoom. And an independent artist as well.
We want to shoot a beautiful pilot and create a compelling show to shop to the networks. The Guardian is a little too ambitious in the time of Covid-19. But Recovery Unplugged satisfies the production side of things.
I'm working with Lureen and she is simply amazing. I just love her. She is AOF family. I'm driving Missy crazy because I just start planning projects without consulting here. She makes me a little crazy because she's not as passionate about what we do as I am.
But she is dedicated and hard working.
Today is already a productive day. I will write more before the day is over. Hope your day is as productive as mine has been!
Sincerely,
Amy McCorkle
