Found a couple hours to get to a new site to metal detect at a local swimming hole. This is a popular area for boaters to park to catch some shade by the shore as well as party, similar to this ...
As you can imagine, I found an abundance of older and newer pull tabs like these...
The pull tabs and a couple other era coins like the '62 nickel and the '55 wheat penny are perfect indicators that the area has not been detected recently, or at all.
The potential to find the goods like jewelry and silver coins is much greater.
I also found, what I believe is an Indian head ring, though it is missing the band. The item fits perfectly to a finger and it looks like the band was there at some point but has since broke. I wish there were some type of markings on it to determine age or maker or metal type, though I believe it is junk metal. Check out a close up...
There is a lot of area to cover so this will be a site I focus on all summer, which may produce new finds as the swimming season is just getting started!

Thanks for the upvote!
Nice to see some fellow treasure hunters over here now. Up voted and followed.
Hey, mentalmetal! Thanks my man, I followed back! Yeah, doesn't seem like many treasure hunters are aware of the Steemit platform yet. We need to decide on a tag to add to our posts so we can get in the Trending list. I think a good tag would be treasurehunting, what do you think?
I was telling my followers if they came over to use metaldetecting but I like treasurehunting too. I'll let my potential followers know as well. I'll keep watching for your posts. Cheers my friend.
Cool, I will use both! No reason not to! LOL Have a great weekend!
