There is a new ongoing MEW phishing attempt. Please do not visit it, as you risk accidental visits in the future from URL bar autosuggest. ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING, PARTICULARLY A URL
Running MyEtherWallet locally is always more secure. There's also a Chrome plugin
The REAL URL of MyEtherWallet does not have an appended .co
WARNING: DO NOT VISIT THIS SITE, IT IS A PHISHING SITE
The url of the phishing attempt is: myetherwallet (dot) com (dot) co
It's a very convincing phishing attempt. Again, DO NOT VISIT THAT LINK. IF YOU HAVE, IT IS SUGGESTED TO CLEAR BROWSING HISTORY
++++++++
What you can do about it
Consider taking a minute of your time to report the phishing site to Google, the more that do, the more likely Google will pay attention. If they pay attention, Chrome users would be displayed a phishing alert, mitigating a large majority of potential damage.
Go the extra mile
...Report to Symantec as well: https://submit.symantec.com/antifraud/phish.cgi
Go an extra two miles
...Report to ESET: http://phishing.eset.com/report
yeah be careful , best way is to link the real site at your desktop and only access it from there.
Great suggestion. People like to steal instead of working for it.
I just checked, the website is no longer active as of today.
Cheers,
@Yehey
It appears to be active still :(
Thank you for the warning man
We can't be careful enough.
Thanks for the advice
Thanks - Will Re-Steem this
I heard a similar story from someone that lost over $30K worth of tokens, but the redirect went to a .su site.

Be careful out there!
I lost $300+ on this scam :(

Oh nooooooooooooo :(
Tanulópénz. Legalább annyi eszem volt, hogy csak a BAT tokeneket tartottam ott.
:( :( :( :( :( :(
Thanks for the heads-up, you da real MVP. I went ahead and reported the phishing site as well.
One guy being happy to get into the Santiment ICO lost all his coins on this scam.
Crazy things going on out there... - shameful things!
