Some of the bacterial disease

Tuberculosis: caused by bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis which causes infection in lungs and produces a toxin called tuberculin that causes high fever. BCG vaccine gives considerable protection against TB.
Cholera: caused by bacteria vibrio cholera which is transmitted through contaminated water and food. Its symptoms include vomiting, acute, diarrhoea, and muscular cramps.
Diarrhoea: it’s a type of intestinal infectious disease including the food poisoning. Pathogens responsible for disease are E.coli, salmonella typhi. They spread through contaminated food and water.
Leprosy(hansen’s disease): caused by bacterium mycobacterium leprae. It is a chronic infection of skin and other tissue including nerves. Its symtoms include ulcers, nodules, deformities of finger and toes. Infected part of body becomes senseless. It’s a communicable disease when there is long and close contact with patient.
Tetanus: caused by motile bacteria, clostridium tetani, found in soil, dust, water etc. The bacteria enters through injured surfaces and takes 1-2 weeks to show the symtoms. Disease characterised by painful contraction of muscles usually of neck and jaws followed by the paralysis of thoracic muscles. It’s a disease of CNS. ATS(anti tetnus serum) is prescribed.
Pneumonia: caused by streptococcus pneumoniae and is a inflammatory disease of lungs and symptoms is characterized by sudden chill, chest pain, cough, rapid shallow breathing and high temperature.
Typhoid: caused by salmonella typhi which is found in intestine of humans. Typhoid spread through food, milk and water contaminated with intestinal discharges either directly or through flies and personal hygiene. Main symptoms are high fever, headache, diarrhoea, GIT disorder like ulceration of intestine etc.
