Hiii friends I am SUDESH KUMAR from Rajasthan (INDIA). I love my nation & proud to be an INDIAN.
India is the nation of varieties. Rajasthani cultural is an unique culture in INDIA.
Today I want to tell you about it :-
Culture of Rajasthan is as unique and as colorful as its rich historical past. Rajasthani culture reflects the colorful history of the state. One can find the essence of the culture on its folk dances, traditional cuisines, peoples in Rajasthan and in their everyday life. Being a princely state, Rajasthan is known for its royal grandeur and royalties. It attracts tourists from all over the world with its beautiful traditions, culture, people, history, and monuments.
If you ever visit this desert state then don’t forget to have an insight of the folk music, dance, art and craft of Rajasthan, which will make you fall in love with this place. Rajasthan is truly a state with a splendid colorful culture. Opposite to named as ‘the land of Kings’ or ‘the country of Rajputs’, Rajasthan culture follows some of the oldest tribes – Bhils, Minas, Meos, Banjaras, Gadia, and Lohars. Culture in Rajasthan is vibrant and includes mesmerizing music, yummy n spicy cuisines and above all unmatchable Dances. In music, Panihari style is very much famous among visitors apart from Ghevar dish and Ghoomar dance of Rajasthan.!
Similar to the city’s vibe, the people of Rajasthan love to don colourful attires, turbans and saris embellished with stones and ghungroos. Men wear turbans known as ‘Jodhpuri safa’ or ‘Jaipuriya pagri’ which is an integral part of their dressing. Angrakha, a frock type garment made out of cotton covers the upper body and the lower body is draped with dhoti or pyjama. Women mostly wear a long skirt called ‘ghagra’ which they team up with a blouse called ‘choli’. Rajasthani women are fond of jewellery and they like to accessorize their dresses with chunky silver and lac ornaments.
Any function in Rajasthan remains unfulfilled without the folk dance performances of the regional artists. The attires, expressions, moves and rhythm make the performances outstanding. Some of the popular dance forms of Rajasthan are the Kalbelia dance, an ancient dance form practiced by the women of Kalbelia community (snake charmers). While Ghoomar dance is performed by Rajput women. Chari dance which is another famous dance form requires a lot of practice and skills as the dancer needs to balance pots on their head.
I love my culture so much and tell me what do you think about it friends...
