We even had Netherlands TV come to our Salon in early 2014 to shoot documentary about Bitcoin. Wow! Has the space grown since then. Here's a pic from then!
I would not worry about the current downturn. The market will bounce back by the Spring.

A friend of mine introduced me into this trading platform. He suggested me not to waste time on facebook and other networking sites and invited me to join here where I can actually get paid for my skills, ideas and knowledge. Slowly from here I began to know little about other cryptocurrencies- bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin and so on. And everyday I got a chance to learn new things from great authors🙂
Maybe someday I will come visit Miami and enjoy a day in your beach if I got some luck to visit there🙂

How I enteres in crypto world. As you all know...I'm girl. But I have a lot of friends(big part of them are boys). One very good friend it's a lover of crypto world, he everyday speak to us about all this things but no one was interested. After he buyed a car(after some months of investments) we trust him and we tried to find informations, now. In november-december I was the first one who invest(after him) from my group in some coins. I had at that time: NEO - Verge - Cardano - Etherum - Satoshi.
I am newbiee here. Also I don't know too much about crypto( better translate: I know nothing, lol).
I am happy I entered in this community, I hope in 6 months I will achieve more SP for have much power of voting.

You are so cute. One thing you may want to consider is doing a introduceyourself post on Steemit with a Steemit sign and date. This is what I did after a few months joining . This way people know its really you. It builds trust. Example: https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@vaansteam/allow-me-to-reintroduce-myself-my-journey-so-far adding date is good too.

I didn't "get" why Crypto existed until I saw a list of Bitcoin casinos on Bitcointalk back in 2014. Then it clicked instantly.
"OH. It's freedom."
That lead me down the rabbit hole...central banking...2008 collapse...drug wars...and it hasn't stopped since.
Crypto has changed my world view and perspective. For the better, I like to think, although ignorance can be bliss. :-)
Thanks for sharing. I had a very similar situation in 2013. I did stock trading and investing and kept seeing the word Bitcoin in the financial articles. I think the first time I saw it was April of 2013 in the Greece bank run. My first thoughts was this is going to be so hacked out of existence it will never last. Then I found the whitepaper. Bitcoin a P2P cash system. The part when it starts talking about networks and decentralization my mind was blown and light bulbs starting going off in my head. I said wait! This is huge! Been down that rabbit hole ever since.
Yeah, I thought the "hacked" thing too. Which has happened, but on the central exchanges, of course. Thinking about it as Bittorrent for money really helped. It's funny that people said that mining was passe and unprofitable way back then.
Hi Sir, I have seen your place Miami & Silicon Valley on Google and its really stunning place to visit. I'll visit this place once a life. I didn't attend North America Bitcoin Conference because I'm far away.
And, yeah I came to know about Crypto through FB news where I learned about this a little in someone's post then I started search this term on Google as well. Then Joined Steemit after one year and now I know more about all alt coins. :)

This is great @hedge-x accepting bitcoin? Super cool!! I love how your space has grown since then.... My own story is not much, I was doing my one year service to my country when I heard about crypto. I have had the prior knowledge of bitcoin but not crypto in general. Since then I started investing in different coins that I think have the ability and specs to moon. It's bin an up and down experience by the way but am happy steemit is currently taking that experience way above the roof once again. Thanks for sharing @dee-y over and out.

My Sister who had been to Miami says it’s very beautiful place. Since 2014, that’s Long journey! I have only been into cryptocurrency recently , I was heart broken and bought some crypto to recover 😂 myself .
