I was browsing wired.com for any interesting stories lately and I stumbled across this one. It's pretty cool in my opinion and I'll be paying a bit more attention to the rocks near me.
Thanks, I didn't really think about the hazards it posed to Astronauts or the like. I imagine that is a big concern. I'll follow you so I can stay updated. I checked out your intro, very cool. I would love to learn how to scuba dive one day.
Go do it! It will open up a whole new world. I will be writing articles about scuba diving as well in the future. Just got started here on Steemit :-) Also, the space suites have a micrometeorite membrane (MMOD) specifically designed to protect the astronauts from them..pretty cool stuff!
I plan on scuba diving sometime this year or next depending on my finances. I'm hoping everything goes well here on steemit so I can use the income to increase reputation and to experience more things in life that I know I'm missing out on.
MMOD Sounds pretty cool. Has a micrometoerite ever penetrated a space suit while you were working with Nasa?
So potentially at anytime, anyone could just get hit with a meteorite....
Yeah, seems that way lol. They are more like pebbles than an actual metorite. Think small rocks.
I used to work for NASA and micrometeorites were always a big concern to astronauts. I will write an article on it in the future. Upvoted

No! As a matter of fact, if it did, it could be catastrophic! Luckily, so far, we have never lost a person in space and I hope it stays that way!
Glad nothing like that has happened yet.
