Good day Steemians... Most at times, when we are starting out in any endeavor, we tend to advertently entertain the fear of actually starting out. Another thing that comes to our minds is trying to compare ourselves with someone higher in rank. We begin to ponder on the length of time it would take us to actually attain some certain levels achieved by some certain people. And whether one would keep being a participant in such an endeavor would be dependent on the ability to actually weather through this critical stage! Unfortunately, many would rather fall back than confront these challenges head on.
number of blog posts and reply comments as an indirect approach for continuous education of newbie Steemians.I am no exception. In this article, I will be x-raying the totality of my time here; the initial challenges, the downtime and how the turn around happened. While also giving a brief insight into why I shall be eternally grateful to the two very first individuals namely @blocktrades and @gbenga who unknowingly made my stay here a permanent one through their unwavering support in those early days. And as a bonus, I will analyze the two most impressive stats resulting from my activities here:
I never knew there were Nigerian and African participants on steemit at those early days; funny, isn't it?
Being a wanderer Steemian (because I have no introducer) when I found myself on Steemit, I had no idea there were lots of Nigerians and African participants on steemit. I thought I would be the first person from these areas of the world to register for the program. And so my initial plan was to conquer these regions for steem blockchain, provided the program proves its worth.
However, I was proved wrong on my next visit. I found the posts of @oluwoleolaide and @tj4real on the trending page. From his username, I knew @oluwoleolaide must be a Nigerian of wastern decent. On the other hand, @tj4real stated on her profile that she is a Steemian Ambassador in Africa. The screenshot of @oluwoleolaide post that trended that day is as below:
Faith is real! the connection between my spirit mind and steemit trending page - a procedural explanation of my fanaticism for Steemit
It is unfortunate that most Steemians would claim today that their being here is not motivated by money. When I heard such claims, I would laugh because I knew most of such people are just being economical with the truth. The first page that I visited when I discovered steemit was trending page, though unknowingly. I was not aware of any other page.
I was thinking it was obligatory for everyone to earn. Hahaha...what a belief. How absurd.
I didn't know that the reason everyone appeared to have earned was because their posts trended.
So I resolved within me that if I try and make up a post, and fail to earn anything; that would mean the system is selective. And I would quit. I did compose my introductory post and within 1 hour, it hits $103+. See red arrow on the image below. This is basically where my fanaticism for Steemit was born.
My two cornerstones: @blocktrades and @gbenga
I am someone who doesn't easily forget good done to me. I had made this confession severally in the past. And I will continue to say it for as long as I am here. @blocktrades and @gbenga were all instrumental to whatever achievements I record on this program today.
It all started with @blocktrades upvoting my introductory post as shown in the screenshot above. At a time when I only knew trending page, and when I was of the mindset that if I didn't earn, I would quit, @blocktrades was that person that was used by God to restrain me. Imagine if he hadn't upvoted my introduction? This generous act on the part of @blocktrades simply turned me into a steemit fanatic so that even though I was a wanderer Steemian earning nothing, my deep faith in the system just wouldn't let me give up!
At a time when majority of @euronation members were earning practically nothing and almost giving up, @gbenga who happened to be one of Nigerian curators came to our rescue. He taught us to use #nigeria tag so that our post would easily be located by the curators. And our story automatically changed, restoring our faith in the program.
The significance & demystification of my most impressive stat — number of posts made
The brains behind different front-ends of steem blockchain deserve eternal commendations. By merely looking at one's blog page, it is easy to determine how engaging the blogger has been since joining the program. In the light of this, I want to speak on the two of my most impressive stats — number of blog posts and number of reply comments —,which together made up of number of posts.
Looking at the screenshot image above, you can see that the total number of posts made within the interim, is 2827 made up of 104 number of blog posts and 2713 number of reply comments!
104 blog posts & 2710 reply comments
From the above stats, you need no soothsayer to tell you I commented far more than I updated my blog; something newbie Steemians of today find very difficult to do. They will rather engage in hourly updating of their blogs and then spamming successful bloggers private rooms, begging for upvotes.
And I tell you this truth; if you're not getting noticed, that means you're not noticing others and it will be very difficult for you to establish yourself here.
I am not speaking of upvotes and comments in terms of their monetary value but as instruments of social interactions.
You updated your blog and after 10 hours, you're still getting less than 20 upvotes. Something is eloquently very wrong, and that's: you have not been engaging the community through upvotes and comments. So you need to wake up; if not, you will exit here prematurely.
My prayer is for each and everyone of you, newbie Steemians, to get to the pinnacle of this God-sent scheme for betterment of the entire humankind.
For me, I have not gotten to the height I want to get to, but I am no longer where I used to be. We are making progress
Don't give up. Success is within reach only if you persevere
Starting out in any endeavor in life is always not easy. And so expecting otherwise is therefore an indirect expression of unreadiness in pursuit of any worthwhile goals. This has been the core definition of my person. So in any endeavor I find myself, I usually stayed back even when everyone has left to see if there would ever be a chance for success. Only when all indicators turn red that I would throw in the towel. I am grateful to God that I didn't give up in the face of initial challenges.
Thanks for reading.

Wow! This is truly God's doing! @gbenga made my stay here a beautiful one too and i will be forever grateful!
Congrats on your milestone! 😁🙌
He is a silent achiever!
Weldone sir. This has always being my plan. I prefer upvoting for people and comment on their post to updating my blog. And its working for me. Thanks boss
Commenting is a great tool to gain recognition here. However, don't abandon your blog entirely because those whom you commented on their posts might come visiting. And when they find nothing on your blog, it is an indirect way of telling them you are not serious!
***As a newbie Steemians, update your blog at least 4 times a week. Although I didn't follow this rule, I knew it works greatly. Thank you
@eurogee
Ok boss. Thks. I will do just that
@eurogee

Thanks once again for such an inspiring post. I wish I had more sp to upvote you but I just gave the little I have with love. I hope to get to your level on steemit someday with encouragement from people like you..

Hahahahahsh. You will surely get to that.
This is quite inspiringly challenging. Am in. Thank you @eurogee
You are most welcome
This is the first post I'm reading after a there months absence from steemit, due to circumstances beyond my control.
And now I'm back, so many things have changed and my friends are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of me. It's kinda discouraging and I'm just sad.
But I'm reading this now, and although I'm a little envious, I'm also encouraged. Maybe I've been going about it the wrong way.
Maybe I still have a chance. This is a good post to read after a long absence from steemit.
Thank you @eurogee
You are welcome back into the fold, my friend @Yvonn. Keep pushing. Success awaits you.
Congratulations boss. You remain the best and I wish you many more steeming years ahead.
Thank my renown poet @edith4angelseu. You are most welcome
Congratulations sir.
Achievements and attainments is never a final destination, but an assessment point to restrategise on the race ahead.
Ghampions never trust or rely on their past failure or success. They understand that they are constantly in a race.
That's why they are always and constantly moving ahead.
Thanks for your kind words @oniraphaeleu
I took my time to read your post from beginning till the end. Beautiful post I must say. Before I go on, I'll like to say that this comment doesn't have any intention of rudeness. Well, in reference to the part you talked about people(newbies) not interacting on steemit and your comment on my post having just 3 upvotes in three days because to you, I seem not to be interacting. I really do not know how to justify that. I cannot analyse to anyone how hard I've been trying. Commenting and even trying to talk to some people. Some of them would never reply you, some "especially on whatsapp group would start feeling like you want to beg them for upvote" should I say you were lucky to have met those people you met during your early days on steemit. Most of us newbies are not as lucky as you were and it just makes the whole thing harder but we'll keep pushing. Like you said "the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step" steem on bro.
Hello.
I mean well for you, dear. I understand the difficulty newbie Steemians face here and that why I move around to encourage them as well as reveal the tools with which they can make inroads into the community.
Comment, don't chat up anyone unless you have a good reason to do that. I have been to your blog. You have great content. Keep pushing. Breakthrough awaits you in no time
@eurogee
Yea, I comment, I don't chat people up. Thanks for the response.
Yes bro.
I want to specially thank you for your advice.
This is the key to steemit.
Thanks brother
@eurogee I love writing but getting rewards I can give myself and others makes steemit a platform to be hooked on. I wish I can rub shoulders with you I'm struggling with the rewards but as you advised steem on I must thanks for this encouraging post
I'm glad you didn't give up either. It's so clear how passionate you are about our community and that's exactly what we need more of.
I personally have never received an upvote from blocktrades but I don't mind ❤ especially when I see they're busy blessing so many people like yourself.
Congratulations on your milestone 🌈 I'm sure it's one of many to come.
Congratulations!
