I need to blow some steem off. See what i did there?
On a serious note though. I have been out of the Army for 2 years now. After ofcourse a 8 year commitment. Its not about the years in or years out right now, its about how they never let you go.
Once your out they will hound you and say you owe them some sort of dept.
Me personally they keep hitting me for $1,966.31. This is a dept that they say I owe them even though over the past two years I have refiled every piece of paper to show that it has been taken care of.
This time I have even submitted names and documentations showing the pay out transaction of them in return owing me money because they made a mistake.
Right on right? No. Here we are again and they are saying the dept still stands. What do we do. We start the process over from step one.
Why I'm typing this up is for everyone to see what goes on after the military life has passed. This is very stressful to do over and over again. They then tell me that my credit can be affect if I don't make the minimal payments while they sort the situation out. What? Why the hell do I have to pay on a dept that doesn't actually exist?
Now tell me that is not enough to put a good person in a bad place. Put a good person having a bad day at a life and death choice. Something like this is enough to push someone to their last breath. The bill is enough but then you hang up on this vet when he calls for assistance not once but twice. You sir should have no job. How disrespectful could you be?
Not only is the government screwing over veterans but their handing out free money to lazy people. Help the people that devoted their lives to serve you and this country.
If we understand maybe we can start to help. 22 veteran suicides a day.
Help a Veteran
I'm sorry you're going through this. Please know there are so many people out there that do value what you have given to protect others even if those in charge don't give you the recognition and help you deserve. Keep throwing the evidence back in their faces, they've taken enough from you already. Don't let them take your life.
Thanks for your input here. I do hope that other Vets can have better luck. There needs to be an awareness for whats going on in the world in a larger aspect. I do often come across other Veterans that are helpful and I have had encounters with civilians that are good as well. The other day I picked up a Vets tab a the local diner he was having breakfast at. I did this because I know how nice it is to have someone appreciate you and show you with a nice gesture. I have been at the receiving end of this as well. It's not something we are asking for but it means the world when it happens.
