I am of the perspective that 10 seconds of mindfulness done very frequently is a better way to actually integrate mindfulness into daily life than trying for minutes at a time. You want to get used to frequently checking in on things, and really all that takes is a single conscious breath while checking your senses. For me, hearing is my preferred sense to bring me into mindfulness. I will take a deep, conscious breath and then try to notice background sounds that I did not notice before. Just this brief moment is enough to recenter and add some mindfulness.
Taking a walk without your phone and simply observing what you walk past is a great longer practice.
I view longer practices as ways of training the attention, but the brief moments are better at integrating mindfulness into life. It's sort of like weightlifting: you lift weights for many minutes on a regular basis, but what this looks like when integrated into your life shows up in small moments when you need to move something heavy. That time you spend on longer meditation sessions is like lifting weights, but those brief moments of mindfulness is like moving something heavy. You spend all that time training for those brief moments.
Also, another tip: the more contexts in which you have mindful moments, the more integrated it will be into your life. If you think about it, when you do sitting practice you get very good at mindfulness in that particular context. What you want to do is introduce more different contexts because the variety will help with integration.
