There lived a women who feared it all. a knot in her stomach kept her from experiencing it all. She stayed home all day and never went out. The fear she had wouldn't let her live a normal life. Then one day she got a flyer in the mail that invited her to a workshop about mindfulness. She never heard of such a thing. She pulled out her shoes and headed out. The fear was still there but her excitement prevailed, the word mindfulness she kept saying in her head until she reached the coffee shop where she was met with women like herself. They talked about learning to accept their feelings without judgment, recognize when we're feeling overwhelmed, and find ways to ground ourselves in the present moment. Something she had a hard time doing.

Mindfulness -It’s about being aware of your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings, but not letting them control you. a women said as she guided her in a meditation. She cleared her mind a focused on her breathing. In through the mouth and out through her nose. The women thought to her self why am i overwhelmed? Why do i live in fear? She breathed in and out and the overwhelming feelings left her. A wave of energy entered her body. No longer afraid of what the day would bring but excited to experience life. One day at a time. Grounding herself in the present instead of focusing on the past, She was finally free.
