You have maybe heard of Minds (minds.com) and its "anti-echo chamber" concept. Basically, you earn points for getting various things (such as likes/reposts/etc.) These points can then be used to "boosts" your posts, where each point spent in the boost, is one assured view. This enables people, who maybe doesn't know you or your content, to view it. This also breaks that persons echo chamber as he would be exposed to new ideas or concepts.
I was wondering if, maybe, such an element could be built in to SteemIT? Maybe a person could use his STEEM POWER to boost his content, instead of liking others? Could this be abused?
