A huge factor that I have found in lightening the mood and coming out of a downward state of mind is trying to pursue possible fields or streams that internally elevate your motivation and exuberance, separating you from your daily inactive behaviour. Nothing pushes you as hard as trying to run towards something that speaks to you personally. Be it a stock trader learning yoga, or an analyst learning the keys or an athlete discovering a great book.
