Okay, I care more about the mining sub being a decent than the potential lashback on my reputation score. I'm going to start flagging posts that are nothing but affiliate links.
Mining is supposed to be an enjoyable thing whether it be purely engaged in for profit, or has a hobbyist component. I'm sick of checking whats "hot" on the mining sub to see people flat out advertising a questionable service and begging others for money, to sign up for a hugely controversial service. Of course, if its critical analysis, a reasonable report, a blog about experiencing using, etc. then this would be different.
For more of my thoughts regarding affliate links please see my post from last month found here
Please let "our" sub be more than this:
Tagging some other subs that might suffer from the same kind of SPAM.

Yes you are right, and what disturbs me even more is people copying posts from websites and don't even mention it is a copy paste post, so it looks like they have written something nicely... Always mention source + do some work for the posts...
I felt the same way, the constant advertising of cloud mining scams was the reason why I almost abandoned steemit. Mining is something I really enjoy, and I would like to write about it here, but seeing the community full of scammers makes me sad and they'll probably flag me.
