I took some screenshots from various live streamers of some interesting or crazy moments from last night and this morning's riots in Minneapolis/St. Paul, as it was all happening.

A protestor/rioter hides behind a dumpster while police advance on him. Shortly after this moment, the protestor shoved the dumpster and bolted down the street behind him. The police did not catch up to him, and barely tried.

For 20 years, I lived five blocks east of the Third Precinct and went into it once to report a burglary (case never solved). But when I watched drone footage of the area yesterday, with so many buildings ablaze I found it hard to identify landmarks.
I was constantly checking Google maps to see which buildings were on fire and what places were being put in danger by those fires. Ghandi Mahal is likely toast, thanks to a fire started in a check cashing place in an adjacent building (third screenshot in this post).
Can't digest a civilized society becomes so uncivilized to do far more damage which does not help at all.
Two days ago, they had police blocking roads in St Louis Park along 394. Mostly frontage roads, not quite sure why...
Huh, that's pretty odd. Wonder if it was something unrelated.
It was the night that the Target and the Auto Zone burned, so probably not. They were gone by 5:00AM the following morning.
Protecting West End? Haha. I guess they had poor situational awareness and nothing better to do.
Actually, it was closer to the BP by 394 & Louisiana. The south side Wayzata Blvd was blocked right at the light.

Thank you
just stay away from those riots, looks nasty on TV :)
It's probably a good thing I live an hour away from Minneapolis. I would have been tempted to go out with the camera and document the mess and probably wound up tear gassed or worse.
