We are making a change to @minnowbooster. From now on you will no longer be able to use @minnowbooster to upvote comments.
We are noticing some users have been upvoting their own random spam comments and we do not think this is good for the Steemit community. The bot's voting power is also being steadily drained, despite the limits we have put in place. By removing the ability to upvote comments, we will be freeing up voting power for all of our deserving customers who make quality posts.
This change may not allow us to raise our send limits right away, but it is definitely a step in the right direction!

I have made use of the Minnowbooster bot, both on my posts and on my comments. It did give me some good return on investment. As a minnow, I had planned to make use of the Minnowbooster bot to upvote my posts and my comments in the coming weeks. But my bad you woke up exactly the moment I wanted to upvote my valuable comments, who in their actual sense would not dare waste their precious voting power because they just get about 10 quality upvotes a day.
Well, I agree that your Upvoting power is being drained on some comments, but then people will get to use the bot to upvote their spammy, low-quality posts that do not even have a single written word nor any media owned or created by them.
Thank you for helping us and creating the bots. I hope the bot stays healthy for a long time to help us the minnows.

You have a valid point there. But it is easier noticed by the community when people upvote their own posts instead of comments, meaning at least their reputation is close to none.

Hey @minnowbooster , I think eliminating to upvote comments is a great step to combat abuse. Upvote should remain in post only and I saw a lot of people too lazy to create contents and only want to comment on steemit.

Yes this the best thing that I ever heard. I think our community will grow larger and spam free. You can also add in your guide lines that only post with reasonable number of words can receive votes. Its a win win.

Cheers! Wish all bots did this, especially @randowhale, I'v seen his power drained so quikly when he is profitable for a while when changes are made, and then by exactly this, shitty comments being upvoted its right back to a mediocre bot..
Still learning the system, I agree only good content deserves votes so why would you try game the system by up-voting mediocre content.

Our newest post has parameters. We have a limit of 1SBD per day. So you can send 2 times 0.5SBD or 1 time 1SBD and you get a refund if you send something else.
