There is NEVER a reason to switch from 50/50 since I've been on Steemit. Unless the value of SBD drops so low that it is useless, you should keep receiving it. I gave this example in another comment here and I explained the payouts in my post yesterday if you want to take a look, but here is a short version. $20.00 STU Payout. $5.0 Curation. $15.00 Author. The author will receive 7.5 SBD and less than 2 SP. If you chose 100% SP payout, you would have about 3.5 SP valued at $14 USD. The 7.5 SBD is currently worth $20 USD. I hope this clarifies it.
