A Question for the Bigger Fish

Hey, I have a question. What do your followers mean to you? I’ve been poking around a few posts, and I noticed a few steemians have a couple thousand followers. That is great, but as a minnow, it makes me wonder. Do your followers feel welcome? Are you providing them with quality content? If you practice follow 4 follow, do you care what they are posting?

Its kind of hard to push the follow button on a person with 1300 followers. I mean, would it really make a difference to them if I followed? It does seem a little rude not to follow back but, I’ve seen some dolphin posts that say don’t do it. I’m still learning what works best for me though.
How can I be helpful to someone who decides to follow me? Although I’m not looking for followers just yet. When I do, I would like to like to interact with them like my friends. I don’t know if that’s realistic or not, but it would be nice. Anyway, I'm going to continue lurking and learning. STEEM ON!!!

Followers are a way to spread your word, blogs, posts and comments. More followers, more exposure, more up votes, more money. If anyone tells you otherwise they are bullshitting you.

Thank you. I like a good, honest answer.
