Hi, thanks for signing up. As you say, you don't have so many posts yet, and I quote, " But I really haven’t started up yet. I’m probably still waiting for the right time."
The MAP contests are happening every one or two days. So you are welcome to come back and sign up again in September, with more posts (and fewer resteems). Thanks.
Thanks for your offer! But I seriously can't abide with more posts & fewer resteems policy. Thanks anyway!
just a thought.... actually it is very good logic for you to not resteem as much. Supporting others does gain support for you, however, how can people support you if they can't find your content?
So you are arguing against resteeming feature? Think for yourself a little and you will get the answer. I do get readers despite of my resteems. And I resteem for my readers only!
I don't understand why my entry to this contest wasn't considered by @rycharde. If you are not ought to resteem, this condition should have been mentioned beforehand. But I fulfilled all the conditions stated here and yet I didn't qualify to enter this contest! @rycharde rightly quoted me that I haven't started up yet but then what is "accelerator" meant to do?
BTW, I was just pointing that I feel it's impossible for a human to read through all the recent posts, comments & replies of all participants here ...depending on how you define the word "recent".
better than a resteem, writing your own posts featuring some of your favorite articles by followers is a great idea.
It's just one of the factors that anyone will consider when looking at a new blog. Unless your following is so big, and they love you so much, it's helpful to be able to see easier articles that you write. if you care to, see my blog as an example of how I resteem a bit here or there(only posts that I think are significant to anyone). I also make sure to write a post after having resteemed 2 blogs, before resteeming again.
this contest is quite accessible, and anyone who doesn't get this round, is offered kindhearted advice, and an opportunity to apply again.
I hope your offense does not stop you from considering @rycharde's reasoning behind his request, this is not his preference alone, but pretty standard in the community.
us minnows tend to have a small audience, resteeming isn't super effective for us, so it's good to be particular.
Whales, everyone wants to know what they do and think, so they can resteem posts they vote on and win all day without writing too often.
I hope this helps, and that you don't feel like @rycharde is being mean.
Anyways, I was vegan for 8 months this past year, and I'm still mostly vegetable diet, and interested in the cause. I will follow you, and look through your blog (just saw that you are anti-dairy campaigner). I hope to see more of the vegan stuff in your blog feed.
also, @rycharde told me to be careful about my resteems! I think I almost didn't make the cut :-0
Well, thanks for all your advice and suggestions but I beg to differ. And if @rycharde is so much particular about resteems (as you say you almost didn't make the cut inspite of your fewer resteems), then I don't care much about this accelerator program. I need to consider what's important for me. I'll tell you that if my resteemings make it difficult to locate my own posts then it's not my problem but it's a problem with Steemit platform which needs to be taken care of. And until then you should make use of some other platform which can filter your posts from your resteems. I can't recall any tool here since I don't need it but for the recent posts (as is the requirement here) you can always jump to the "Latest posts" section at steemnow.com and set the feed to "My Posts" or even better to "Blog".
And regarding my taking an offense or my feelings of @rycharde being mean to me LOL!, I'd rather say that it wasn't an offense at all but an statement that I expect the rules to be stated more clearly. In case, resteming is not preferred by the organizers of this contest (and which is very much acceptable) then it should be clearly stated, so that people like me shouldn't waste their & organizer's time in making a futile attempt. I didn't know that this rule is "pretty standard" in the community. But thanks for telling me that so I'd be ignoring such contests in the future.
I dunno what you mean by the above. I do want to know all that for each one of whom I follow. Whales aren't any special to me in that regard.
And dunno what you mean by effectiveness of resteems. It looks like my thoughts, philosophies & understandings are very very different than that of you or others who have this line of thinking.
And thanks for noticing that I'm an anti-dairy campaigner. I'm glad that you have made an attempt to go vegan and are still supporting the cause to some extent. Writing about veganism is one of my objectives to be here. But I wanted to share more in my native language viz. Hindi. But I don't have much audience for that so far so I'm trying to write something in English. Currently, I ain't writing much about it, my focus is to gain some more followers for a month. But you can always get in touch with me on this issue on Steem Chat. Or you can also use a chat bot I've recently developed for Telegram named Veganizer though it's still on constant improvement mode.
Thank you very much for a detailed feedback! 💓
