Seems a little ponzi-like imho... I really think that if you create good content, you will eventually make it on steemit. I don't see a sustainable future if it was that easy. Sure more followers = more exposure, but that might just ruin the authentic experience you get on steemit. Not to be a party pooper.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I suppose I can see some of where you are coming from. Having an upvote requirement and 1 resteem=100 upvotes might seem fishy. Upvotes can be at 1%. So you don't actually have to use your steem power on this. There's no monetary requirment and that's on purpose. The 100 per resteem is because I value my wall. Yes, I happy to resteem some well written posts to give newbs some exposure even if I'm not personally in love with the content, but I'm unwilling to devote my whole wall to other people's posts. This is a compromise.
As for quality posts leading to eventually making it I think I agree, but this is a matter of time... It took me almost a year to get here. I think this project can cut that in half for some people. I'm willing to run this experiment to figure it out. If it isn't supportive I'll stop running it. If it's a success I'll tweak parameters to ensure it's fair to folks. Ultimately, this is a service I'm trying to provide to people that follow me as a gesture of thanks for their support.
I appreciate you voicing your concern and I'll continue to think this through as I iterate on it.
