I was typing up something, but I literally could not of said it any better than @flurgx just did. Also, that passive-aggressive reply is complete bullshit. Save the woe-is-me drama. Aside from the a few initial investors of the platform, we were all minnows at some point. I was blogging daily on here a year ago when STEEM was at 11¢ for months. I swear, this get-rich-quick mentality is hurting the community. He know's what he's trying to accomplish here, and it isn't charity.

You're missing the point. A minnow helping a minnow would be you giving a minnow a randowhale vote for a good, well thought out post of original content. Not making them compete for one. Your first two rules for them to TRY to get it from you are #1 Upvote this post, and #2 Resteem this post... maybe it boils down to you not being 100% familiar with what the term "pay it forward" means. This is a promotion.
Resteem? MInnows follow minnows buddy, just tryng to get the word around, plus the upvotes help with the tagging categories, hopefully becomes hot and more minnows will once again follow. Since your not apart of our group I dont believe you really don't understand my motive I'm guessing. If you look at my page I already have a theme of offering free gifts. I have spent hours creating GIF image recources for steemers and I don't even put my name on them. I leave them unbranded for all steemers to use. I am probably the least selfish person around, along with some of my buddies here. I get that someone could put togetehr a similar campaign for greed and not for support. But I assure you. You just don't see the message. Did you read the post, did you see that I'm also using this as a platform to promote the Support group I am apart of. Yes I sat down and thought of ways I could help the group and help a minnow as well, maybe even more as I plan to in the future. I have helped many before in our group and I don't need to use this platform according to someones specific standards because you feel I'm not worthy. Sorry but I'M HERE TO STAY and I'm Gonna Keep GROWING!
Well then, I'll chalk it up to a misunderstanding. At the very least you see how something like this COULD be perceived. Shysters don't do well around here, for good reason. You'll want to make sure you don't come across as one. Good content and toughing through the ups and downs is the only way to really find success here, in my experience anyway.
