I just wonder what they were asking him, i wonder what was going through the mind of this little boy, again i wonder what the future holds for a 4years old child whose parents were gruesomely killed in the face of war and in a bid to keep him alive.
Over the years I've heard people talk of war like its a piece of cake or a mere gathering the converges enemies to a round table for tea talk or a business conversation. Most young people who never experienced it yern for it and sometimes pray they get to experience one in their life time. But the truth is war is nothing to think of in any nation.
I'm an African, so I'll limit my scope to Africa alone and anyone from anywhere in the world reading no irrespective of the continent or race should apply a relative situation. War is war anywhere, it gives the same horrible effect anywhere it visits and leave the place in a state of pity.
Years ago, the people of Sudan clamored for war hoping it will help create the needed balance to shapen the political system of the country. But today Sudan is one of the poorest country in the world owing to the effect and aftermath of war. As it stands currently, peace is a scarce commodity in Sudan because people are dying on a daily basis as a result of war in that country. Parents have been made childless and children orphans left to dig the unreality of an unrealistic world.
Nigeria as a nation is going through a hard time dealing with insurgencies of all kinds which is yet to metamorphose into war and life is already unbearable to those affected. Bomb blast every now and then, killing people, destroying lives and properties on a daily basis. The Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen which are the recent inflicting pains on families, killing and sacking villages in different parts of the country.
This is not yet war but a pinch of what war may feels like. I believe it is time for world leader to come together and speak peace to nations instead of fueling an already ignited fire. War is not the solution to national problems, it even worsen the condition and throw nations into darkness and primitiveness. If we tolerate one another and follow each other in love and patience there won't be a need to war, wasting the lives of meaningful and innocents citizens.
United States of America, korea, Israel, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Nigeria, Spain, France, United Nations, Anglophone, Francophone... My message is PEACE! With that 5 letter words we can achieve a lot of things and stay together as one. Let's come together in one voice and say "NO" to war!
TOGETHER WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL! God bless our world...
Thank you!
