Partiko keeps giving you points on each post and comment, but those points combined don't value as much in upvote as one single esteem vote does. But, both platforms are good for engaging
True. Esteem upvotes are currently much higher. If I were to use it solely for the upvotes I might still have used the app.

The upvotes on esteem depend on the amount of time you spend on esteem I guess
