We had a chance to see another great event, the hype was real. UFC stopped in Sao Paulo, Brasil. Today I'll share my thoughts on co-main and the main event. It was very interesting, to say the least. Let us start!
Demian Maia vs Colby Covington
The hometown boy Demian, ranked 3rd in the world, was as expected the bigger man of two and I have to say he surprised me with his stand-up in the first round. Rocking Colby, the new "bad guy" of the division, and it was a close first round altogether is my opinion. Looks like if a man is not used to stand-up and is a submission artist like Demian he should take different actions. Gassing after the first round and Colby took over. Putting maximum pressure on Demian and almost finished him a few times. Stopped every takedown and Demians night was over. Obviously, the Brasilian crowd was not amused about it. The fact that Colby made one of the worst moves after Chael Sonnen and called out the whole nation of Brasil made things worst for him. Nobody liked him to much before...
I'll be damned if he gained 1 fan tonight, lolz. Not even shaking hands after the fight like a true sportsman would do. Plus he was so sloppy, not that I wanna judge a guy who was in a five round war, but I could match him up against a few dudes who would totally murk him. If he comes out of Brasil alive that is...

Lyoto Machida vs Derek Brunson
A long-awaited return of Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida after a suspension by USADA was hyped and we were all expecting a war. Sorry to say it was a quick finish by Derek Brunson. A bomb ended the night for Lyoto and Derek made a huge statement yet again. Never fool around after being out of the game for almost 2 years. Its hard to say but maybe its time for the dragon to retire after a great career.
