My picks are Chris Weidman, Anthony Pettis being a VERY close second. And yours? As the discussion continues reasons will be given if they aren't already apparent enough! ;)
Let the games begin!

I'd have to say pettis or holly holm.I feel like chris just had a shitty string of luck for awhile & hope to see him get a winning streak together.
Holm for sure. Take a look at her pro boxing footage. She WAS DOPE. She dethroned the MOST overrated MMA fighter in history starching RR. But MANY other women would have and could have done that. Holm is pushing it with her age and you just CAN NOT learn the type of JITS she would need to do anything more in the UFC. As for Pettis he had his TIME and it was quite a few years ago. And as for Chris (I train with VERY close teams and the fact I utter this is blasphemy) but he dusted off Anderson Silva (a mentally FINISHED Silva IMHO) launching him to his current ranking. Any time he tries to step up he gets fried. He's good, he will be a challenge for anyone trying to become a champion, the perfect stepping stone, but unless he changes something (and I feel it's mental...) I just see him taking backward steps in the division. As for the rest of the above mentioned fighters, I am quite sure at least 2 of 3 will end up on the Bellator scrap heap (look at Bendo and Rory..., looked really good for awhile in the UFC, but now take beatings in Bellator, strap or not).
Well Bellator does have some good talent that doesn't get the credit they deserve just because of their platform. You can't tell me Lima & Chandler wouldn't make it to the top 5 in their divisions in the UFC.As for chris, I don't think it's mental. It's just more of he needs to work on his defense & overall striking. The Gegard fight was the biggest example...once he started stuffing his takedowns, chris was getting lit up & he just became desperate to get the fight down to the mat.
100% AGREE! Bellator has a small pool of decent talent, but a LOT of terrible one offs, shot fighters, and purely mediocre guys and gals. You can dress up a show any way you like but on most Friday's they are showing dressed up regional level productions. First IMHO Lima won the fight on Saturday. As for Chandler he is a BEAST!!! UFC = U FIGHT CHEAP for MANY fighters, especially those not STILL in back channel bed with D WHITE. . Some "promoters /agents DOMINATE while having their company registered in their sister/s name/s Google it). And while I don't want to say too much it is MENTAL but yes Chris DOES have to work on his striking and while the current coach/es that are meshing with so many from team IA / SL etc. may not be working for him....
I wasn't able to watch Rory's fight but yeah doesn't look too good when the new champ is busted up & literally has to be carried outta the ring. But totally agree as well, Bellator has a lot of cans & ufc rejects along with fighters still going way past retirement.I hope one day we can see chandler, lima & pat curran in the ufc...I was a big Pat curran fan but then he fell off hard outta nowhere. It'd be cool to see him in contention again.
I just can't figure Pat out....
