New to Steemit. Just wanted to post a little about myself!

in #mma7 years ago

My name is Los and I just discovered Steemit a couple weeks ago. It's really interesting but I'm still not sure I understand everything.

I'm really into MMA and think that I will post about my opinions of upcoming fights/ fights that have just happened and whatever else come to mind!

Here's a general tip: You'll want to make a post in the #introduceyourself tag. Basically just introduce yourself, maybe include some info about who you are, what you are into. Throw some pics in there, maybe even one of you holding a piece of paper with your steemit screen name and the date. That's a verification picture. Of course it's not required, but many people do it, so that when people are upvoting your posts, they feel assured that you are a real person, not some fake account.

You can go to the search function at the top, type in introduceyourself, and then click on the hot or trending posts for that tag. Other's posts may give you a good idea on how you'd like to do your own.

The other question is when should you do that? You could do it now, or you could also wait until you build your following a little. The more you upvote, comment, re-steem others posts, and post your own content, the more followers you'll gain, hence the more people that may see your official #introduceyourself post.

Anyways, hope this helps some.

Welcome to Steemit! There are a few posts around here with the tags mma, bjj, jiu-jitsu, martial-arts, ufc, etc. I'm glad to finally see more people more people from the community finally show up on Steemit.

I have followed you, so be sure to follow me back. I'll try to upvote and re-steem any of your good content. You can include the #steemitbjj to get my attention, but i'll keep an eye on all the popular tags related to mma.

So, what kinda Steemit questions do you have? I'll re-steem your post, ask any questions you have here, and maybe we all can help you out. It can be a little crazy to wrap your mind around at first, but once you grasp it, you'll probably love it here.
