Moinho de vento

Os moinhos de vento são um dos símbolos mais conhecidos da  Holanda. Estima-se que o país já tenha tido mais de 10 mil moinhos de  vento. Os moinhos de vento, na Holanda, já serviram para diversos  propósitos. O mais importante era drenar água das terras baixas de volta  para os rios, para que a terra pudesse ser cultivada.
