"Honey, could you bring the sunscreen also."

"I told you to remember the sunscreen, yesterday."

"Yes, that is why I am asking you to get it now. Obviously."

"Don't get snippy."

Magdeline as even this narrator knows best to call her, was often amazed at just how Kenneth was able to recall minute details of times forgotten but incapable of recalling the conversation he had ten minutes ago.

Kenneth was amazed at how spry Maggie looked in her sunflower dress and said so.

"Hey, Mags, you are looking really good in that dress my doll."

This narrator though is amazed at how Kenneth never learns that Magdeline hates to be called Mags and he will promptly be receiving a slap to the noggin from a blushing doll in a flowery dress.

A few miles into their trip, Kenneth looks to his girl next to him and winks, her cheeks still go pink at light speed, and she is still a girl to his old eyes.

Magdeline places her hand on his leg and smiles back, "Today will be nice don't you think?"

"Would be nicer in bed, don't you think?" He replies without missing a beat.

"You promised to be nice today. We never get out, well not as much as we would like to you know." She reprimands him and removes her hand.

"Oh I am just joking," Kenneth replies as he turns into the dirt lane that goes down to the river and with the swing back of the steering wheel he leans in towards Magdeline and props his cheek.

she playfully slaps him on the shoulder, "You!"
