Mondulkiri the largest province of Cambodia, is called green paradise. It is located in the south-east part of the country.

The province is a home of the largest highland ethnic minority group in Cambodia called Pnong. They have lived in Mondulkiri for about 2,000 years, but there is a little documentation until France colonized Cambodia in 1864.

Mondulkiri is known for its forested hills and powerful waterfalls. Perfect destination for those searching for cultural immersion, adventure, camping and learning.

There are many amazing places to explore. Above the all, we loved the jungle adventure with Pnong people.

Toursanak arranged a 3 days & 2 nights adventure tour for Where to Be Dragons to Mondulkiri.

We left Phnom Penh early morning and arrived at the capital of Mondulkiri province, Senmonorom, at noon. After lunch we took a bus to Pnong village, our starting point for trekking.

It took us about 2 or 3 hours to the campsite. A very pleasant hike in a jungle full of majestic old trees, birds and bamboo. Our Pnong guide stopped time by time, teaching us about medical plants and its usage. Pnong people are well known for their deep knowledge of nature.

There were simple huts with hammocks tied underneath its roof at the campsite. We took a bath in nearby lake with a small waterfall. Refreshed, the group helped to prepare typical Pnong meal. Egg plants in coconut milk, steamed in a bamboo.

Second day, we started trekking again after breakfast. Within 3 hours we visited three waterfalls called Lang Ret, Lang Keon, and Lang Ong and bat cave where we swam and enjoyed our lunch. We took a rest and set off to the Pnong village afterwards. Another 3 hours of hike ahead of us.

In the evening we explored town and slept in a local resort.

The last day, we explored Orn Long Sne, enjoyed a view from the top of a mountain and went back to Phnom Penh.

We hiked through the jungle, valleys, and many small streams. We spent one night in the forest, sleeping in hammocks and the group brought lot of unforgettable memories back home.
