Jeffrey Preston Bezos, an American technology and retail entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist who is best known as the founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Amazon (amazon.com).
On July 27th, 2017 i.e Thursday, Bezos saw a 2.5% rise in Amazon shares which means Mr. Bezos's wealth has now eclipsed the Microsoft co-founder by $1.4bn (according to Forbes).
Though both Amazon and Microsoft shares could fluctuate in the coming days although it is more likely that Bezos will earn a permanent spot at the top of the list as Amazon continues to flourish.
And given the exponential rate at which Bezos's wealth balloon is growing, Oxfam- an international network of organizations working to alleviate poverty, reports that it could happen in the next 25 years.
Initially when Oxfam released its report, Bill Gates stood the most likely candidate but as Jeff's wealth balloon has now outgrown Bill's , it is more likely that jeff would cross the mile stone first.
who will cross the trillionare milestone first is still to be seen but as for now Bezos is very close to hit another small milestone of The first 12 digit man i.e the net worth of hundred billion.
