Birst Updates Embedded Analytics with Enriched User Experience

Birst has announced enhancements to its Embedded Analytics capabilities. The new analytics features, enterprise organizations in any data-driven industry can leverage Birst’s Networked BI architecture to swiftly create and deploy customer-facing analytics and data products while achieving the best value with fewer resources. New capabilities included in Birst’s Embedded Analytics tool enables organizations to boost time-to-market and enhance user experience.


Birst’s Chief Product Officer Brad Peters adds: “Both software and non-software enterprises are increasingly recognizing the benefits of building and deploying data products with an embedded solution. Used effectively, embedded analytics turn an operational application into a market leading product. With Birst, companies are maximizing their user adoption and achieving competitive advantage.”


New capabilities include:


New JavaScript APIs enable third-party applications to interact with Birst using bi-directional data filters. As a result, applications can dynamically updated based on events and data signals that happen inside the Birst platform.

Users can now embed custom visualizations in Birst dashboards. As a result, customers can access governed data that is optimized for analytics using Birst’s User Data Tier.

Users can deploy self-service data preparation and enrichment capabilities to their end-users. As a result, users can upload and blend their own data with the application data or data from other sources without polluting the governed data.

Birst recieved the highest and second-highest scores for the OEM Embedded Business Intelligence and Extranet Deployment use cases in Gartner’s 2016 Critical Capabilities for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms report, and Birst’s embedded customer base includes some of the world’s leading companies. In addition, Birst was once again named to Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Platforms again in 2016, needing only a slight breeeze to push them back into the leaders bracket.
