One of the things that I like about Merch by Amazon compared to other Amazon affiliates like the Associates and Kindle programs is you get paid 30 days after the month rather than 60 days later.
Normally, you know by the 15th of the following month what you are getting paid for the previous month but for some reason June's report was later than usual this month. Here is June's numbers:
$222.38 is what I will get paid for on July 29th. It's not a lot but overall I'm pretty happy with it considering for the first part of the month I had my shirts priced at $11.99 to try and sell enough shirts to get tiered up to 500. When you only making 39 cents a shirt, you can't expect to make too much overall.
The monthly total goes off what Amazon actually ships out that month. For example, if you sold a shirt on the 29th but it didn't ship out until the 2nd of the following month, then it will be on the next month's earnings.
July started off pretty bad but it's picked up so I expect to keep with the upward trend of increasing my monthly earnings all the way through the rest of the year into the holiday season. Hopefully, June was a decent month for all of you too. I'd love to hear about it in the comments below.

Keep those earnings up!
Hope you have better months ahead
Thanks. Yes, I expect to keep going up each month.
Taking a quick look July is your 4th month and your earnings have been increasing each month, that is really good to see
Yes and first month was only a week long and the shirts I sold then actually went on May's earnings.
Then you are going on the right path, can´t imagine where you will be in a year from now

That looks like a good ramp up curve! I haven't been approved yet, so I'm busy studying trends and techniques and sketching out designs, looking for designers who can help polish my ideas into viable shirts, etc.
Looking forward to reading your other posts on the subject!
Thanks. How long have you been waiting to get approved?
I think it's been since June 4th. It's taking longer than I thought. I've heard of people in the past waiting 2-4 months, but I heard that it had shortened a lot. I hope they approve me!
Yes, it varies. It took me 3 months and the same with my nephew. My brother only took 3 weeks and my wife has been waiting 3 months and hasn't been approved yet. Hang in there and just start stocking up designs for when you get approved.
Thanks very much! I'll keep the faith.
How many shirts do you have live! I'm 500 tier with about 230 live! working my butt off to try and get all 500 slots filled for Q4!!! good luck
417 live right now and I'm on the 500 tier. I'm working hard to keep up with the 10 uploads a day right now and I'm sitting at 309 total sales right now. If I have a good August I could get out of this tier. My goal is to have 1000+ designs live by the end of November. Thanks for commenting and good luck to you.
I'm 4 shirts away from tiering up. I've been kind of stalled for a while because I'm out of design slots. Can't wait to get tiered up and start plugging away again
I was that way when waiting to tier to 500. Now that I'm at 500, I'm struggling to keep up with designs. Once I do max out I'll just keep stocking up because you will run out of designs fast the higher you go. Good luck when you get tiered up and keep making or buying designs in the meantime.
Great posting as sometimes I just forget about my merch account. Not sure how long you've had it but I know once you factor in things such as facebook advertising you can ramp it up a good deal. All of the best.
Thanks for the comment. I've had it since the end of April so June was really the 2nd month I had earnings. Good luck with your Merch as well.
Hello there good sir! If you don't mind my asking what avenue (s) are you using for keywords and advertisement? Your postings inspired me to get the dust off my account and put it good use.
Nice work, how and where do you promote your merch by Amazon? Your own website? a niche side project website? Something I have looked at briefly but not really stuck my toe in.
Cheers
I let Amazon do the promoting. Unless you have a large audience I wouldn't worry about it. From what I've read things like Facebook advertising and AMS ads don't work that well either.
Ah so the products go on the normal Amazon marketplace also? Maybe I was more under the impression people used this system to make merchandise for their companies to sell "off Amazon". But you are using this to promote on your own Amazon shop rather then elsewhere? Would love to see what you are selling.
Cheers. Keep up the good work.
Yes. They are on Amazon. You just provide the design. Once the customer orders the shirt, Amazon prints it and ships it. You don't do anything other than creating the design. I just posted a case study where you can see a design if you are interested.
Thanks, will check it out.
