Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about what happened - you were so excited to go on your trip and having your phone stolen while travelling is LITERALLY the worst thing that can happen - I had my phone stolen in Kiev, and since I have a terrible track record with phones, I restrict myself to cheaper phones so the pain isn't so great (lost 3 phones that year in total!). But the fact that they ran up your phone bill too? That's shocking! Really hope you can find a way not to pay that as that's really unfair - and you have a police statement to prove it! Did you have insurance on your phone?
