Michael Jordan played with these shoes during the final of the Games with the United States against Spain. The then 21-year-old Jordan, led his country to a gold medal in a 96-65 victory with twenty points.
According to the auction house ACP Auctions, which organized the auction, both shoes were signed and they were donated by Jordan to an 11 year old ball boy after the match.
The sale price of over $ 190,000 is the largest sum of money ever spent during an online auction.
The absolute record for a pair of sold out sports shoes is still in the name of British athlete Sir Roger Bannister. Bannister became known as the first man to walk the mile (about 1.6 kilometers) in less than four minutes.
The couple with whom he succeeded in 1954 went to the new owner for $ 409,000 in September 2015.

It is amazing that items like these go for so much money. In the past I thought it was rediculous. But it is actually economics 101 at work. Supply is fixed at 1 due to the uniqueness of the item. And demand is in this case high, very high.
I would never pay such an amount of money to shoes. But that is probably because i have no money. :D
it is actually the legacy of mj determine the price...
