That sounds like a pretty realistic scenario to me, I must say. Since they can't fight it, they have to own it. Also here the problem is that most people don't understand how fiat works, and therefore, they don't have the prerequisite to understand crypto, which is why your article is so good.
Most people don't see crypto as a hole in the fence that enables them to break free from the bondage they were born into. They look at it merely as a possible way of making some fiat money on the side. Some even just see it as some toy, some fancy gimmick.
