There is one other way to potentially have a few thousand more each year and that is to get the proper phone plan and home internet plan.
Some internet stats that might be helpful:
- According to Netflix, each hour of HD video takes about 3GB of data.
- Youtube uses about 800MB an hour (at 720p)
- According to Netflix, we will need about a 5Mbs to watch a movie in HD
- According to Google, you need about 2.5Mbs to play a 720p video
Homework for this session:
- How much are you currently spending for your phone and internet?
- What do you actually use for your phone plan?
- What phone plan best matches what you use?
- How much time do you spend watching Netflix / Youtube / other intensive internet usages each month
- How much data do you actually use each month
- What internet plan makes most sense for you?
How much could you save if you actually took the steps to change your current plans? Was there anything in this video that caught you by surprise? Leave a comment below!

Thank you @emrivels - I was surprised to find out how much I was able to save because of the ideas I shared in this post myself!
