I'm working for a small company at the moment - get along well with the management team - one of them is a close friend, and I have a pretty good relationship with the Managing director.
I have felt very little unnecessary pressure from this company in the time i've been there. Other companies i've worked for in the past decide to just fuck with their employees for shits and giggles.
So in that sense, it's great.
However, it's been nearly a couple of years now, and because they're quite small, they don't exactly do incremental salary increases on a regular basis - i'm still on the same wage as when I joined, and it is unlikely that would change unless I ask.
I could probably get a job doing exactly what I'm doing now for maybe 10-20% more than I'm earning now - or I could probably get a job earning either the same or 5% more that might be better for my career longer term.
Fact of the matter is, I have a family, and my wife isn't working at the moment, so eventually, out of necessity, I would probably have to make a move to either ask for more money, or move. Even though I'm relatively happy.
Unless of course my crypto portfolio goes "To the Moon!"
