This can be interesting, as a test and a dare at the same time.
I am a South-African, thus dollars for me turns into Rands, which makes one dollar a lot more worth in my country. Maybe what that one dollar can buy is the same to a certain degree.
I have calculated for myself as a South-African how much I need to make per day in dollars on Steemit to kind of have a Basic income.
1 US Dollar currently converts to 13 South-African Rands (this changes all the time, so when you take 25 dollars times 13 that gives you a total of 325 Rands per day, and that averages to 10075 South-African Rands per month.
If I bring in just R10000 in a month, that is a basic, not necessarily the desired income, but way more than what 50% of working South Africans are bringing in per month and decent if combined with a partners income as well at the same level.
R10000 per month in South-Africa can get a cheap place to rend (R4000) and then a small car (R2400 per month) and then the rest for food and electricity/water, and some basic accessories. As you can see, it is still a tight fit and still not getting at least decent things.
But for me as a South African $25 a day on Steemit can go a far way within supporting me and my family. Now if my partner also brings in that amount it is changing the game a bit more.
For me alone, as a desired income daily on Steemit will be double that amount = $50 a day.
I am making this challenge for everyone that is reading it to first of all vote up my post, follow me if you haven’t yet and then in the comment section to state YOUR daily amount in dollars that you need to make sustain your life within the basics, so a basic income so to say.
This way we can get an idea of what is a Basic income that people require to make per day and then per month and what does Basic then mean in terms of living, now if we can get real time real people such as yourself to participate, then we can get a real nice feel on a World wide scale from different countries what Basic income will be for all.
Who knows, maybe we can all make a basic income through Steemit? And within this reach out and help everyone else also reach their daily basic income.
Also, what is your desired daily income? Keep it real…
Thanks for reading and participating.
I support everything you stand for Gian 100%

Ya Man!
Steem On,
The Dream is Indeed Live,
Here is a Golden Ticket.
From a fellow South African, upvoted and followed! I have a tiny saving account on the side which I put small amounts into all year long, and I am saving up for a trip to back home for a visit, its been WAY to long!!!
Cheers mate!
awesome, let us know when you have the funds to come visit SA again. it will be Lekker!!
Thank you! you ever decide to come for a quick trek to the fridgid Canadian lands, you just get in contact :D
Thank you for the invite. I would love to visit Canada one day, I actually have quit a few awesome friends there plus you now. haha
LOL you bet!!
Always African at heart even though its surrounded by the maple leaf (Canadian national symbol) that and a beaver...... ooooooh Canada I love our beaver ;)
I make about about 63 CAD a day after taxes, which is approximately 620.65 ZAR! When I was living with a roommate, I paid for a bus pass, phone, amenities and some unfortunate debt. I found this was enough to get by and be comfortable. I would say, if I didn't have the debt at the time, it would have been a pretty cool income to be comfortable day to day.
There is a Steemit app for the phone now, so any people from third world countries that have a phone could make an account and earn income through steemit on their phone. Of course I would rather the day come where everyone is supported as a right. But this could be a cool platform to connect with others directly, especially since so many charities are corrupt and inconsistent.
Cool feedback Kim, thank you for participating. I can see how phones and apps can definitely help, we will just need everyone to secondly have some free wifi/the internet and then education on how to use technology plus writing and reading, as these are the first things that is missing here. the mind technology so to say.
Supporting my current lifestyle is ~$50 USD / day, with some left for savings and tithing. Moving to an area of lower economic status, I could make ends meet with $30-40 USD / day, depending on the quality of my food intake. I'll support you with regular upvotes, for sure! #SteemPowertoAfrica
