You are right. But, it's not just the Fed that the market doesn't believe. It's Draghi and the ECB as well. We are looking at an abyss of confidence in the central banks that is going to precipitate a massive sovereign debt crisis in 2018.
I covered the beginnings of this for laymen in this post earlier in the week.
I'm still convinced that the ECB is running out of room and the EU will break apart before the U.S. does... but both are living on borrowed time.
