Stash V.S. Robinhood

in #money7 years ago

So I've been trying to decide between these two investment platforms for a while now. I know that they're not super similar in terms of investing strategies.

With Stash you're encouraged to diversify a lot more, most of their investment options are funds not individual companies.

Robinhood on the other hand has both a more efficient platform if you ask me. I feel like maybe Robinhood is for those with a little more experience in trading and investing. There lies yet another distinction, Robinhood is much more of the app for trading while Stash is geared more towards investing if that makes sense.

What eventually decided it for me was the customer service believe it or not. I spent and I am not exaggerating, 2 months trying to set up my Robinhood account. By that time, the get rich quick trading schemes I had wanted to get in on were long gone. I only downloaded Stash because I was desperate but I have to say I am impressed. I've called customer service with general questions 4 times now and each time they have been enormously helpful and very kind. But that's not the best part, there's no waiting for your call to be picked up, you call and put in a inquiry and they call you back ready to help, and I mean READY.

So that's my story but I know there's more to the picture there and I can always look at other options so I'd love everyone's feedback!

I have no affiliation with either of these apps other than my own personal accounts.

Peace.
